On the night of April 22, 1978 Bob Marley brought together and joined hands with the leaders of the rival political parties of Jamaica. The One Love Peace Concert marked Bob's return to Jamaica after a 14-month self-imposed exile following an assassination attempt on his life. With extraordinary efforts to alleviate violence through peace, love and music, it's been said that this was the night that he went from showman to shaman.
With the intention to share and revive the meaning behind what the One Love Peace Concert represents- One Love. Alexander wanted to honor this moment through his painting of "April 22nd, 1978". Premium prints of Alexander's work are about two times thicker than traditional poster paper and were made by scanning his original painting with the same equipment used by The Met, The Guggenheim and etc.
